DWELLING ASSIST TO LAMPETER
Wednesday, September 8, 2010
-
This morning at 10:15 the first alarm assignment of a house fire was dispached for number 7 Resch Lane in West Lampeter Township.  First arriving Engine 6-3-3 had a large single family dwelling with heavy fire from C-D corner as well as spreading across the attic/roof.  Crews from 6-3 and 5-4 proceeded in the front door with large diameter lines to try to stop the fire; however, the amount of fire was too great and crews were pulled from the dwelling.  Truck 5-12 then went into master stream operations and darkened down the bulk of fire while a strategically placed handline prevented the fire from spreading into the business section of the house.  Crews remained on the scene for several hours in overhaul mode.  The Truck, Engine 1, Rescue, Squad 1 and 2 made the response.
