This morning the Truck was dispatched to assist station 5-9 (Refton) with a chimney fire. Before units made there response the assignment was upgraded to a house fire. The upgrade brought Engine 5-12-2 to the scene. Truck 5-12 (Capt Rhineer) and units from 5-9 arrived with smoke showing from the front door and roof. The tower split crews sending 3 inside and 3 to the roof. Inside crews encountered a heavy smoke condition and working fire in the walls. Engine 5-12-2 (Chief Reese) arrived and assisted with checking for extension on the 3rd flr and also ventilation. The 512 units remained on scene will about 0300.
